TagPy
TagPy is a cool set of Python bindings for Scott Wheeler's TagLib. It builds on Boost.Python, which is a handy tool from the popular Boost C++ libraries.
What Can TagPy Do?
Just like TagLib, TagPy can:
- Read and write ID3 tags of version 1 and 2. It supports lots of frame types for version 2 in formats like MPEG Layer 2, MPEG Layer 3, FLAC, and MPC.
- Access Xiph Comments in Ogg Vorbis files and Ogg Flac files.
- Access APE tags in Musepack and MP3 files.
User-Friendly Interfaces
Each of these features has its own specific interfaces. But don’t worry! TagLib’s generic tag reading and writing method is also included. Plus, it comes packed with a bunch of examples to help you get started!
