TamoSoft Throughput Test is a handy tool for Mac OS X that helps you check how well your wired or wireless network performs. If you want to know how fast your internet is or if there are any issues, this software has got your back!

How It Works

This software includes two main applications: the client app and the server app. The server app needs to run on one computer, while the client app runs on another computer that's connected to the same network. Pretty simple, right?

Testing Your Network

To give you accurate results, TamoSoft Throughput Test continuously sends TCP and UDP data streams over your network. During the test, it calculates key metrics like downstream and upstream throughput values, round-trip time, and packet loss. This way, you get a clear picture of your network's performance!

Results Made Easy

The cool part? All the results are shown in both numbers and charts! This makes it super easy to understand what's going on with your network at a glance.

IPv4 and IPv6 Support

TamoSoft Throughput Test also supports both IPv4 and IPv6 connections. Plus, it lets you assess network performance based on Quality of Service (QoS). You can tweak the QoS settings from "Best Effort" to "Background", "Excellent Effort", "Audio/Video", "Voice", or "Control". How neat is that?

Customizable Charts

You can even customize the generated chart to show different types of throughput—like TCP upstream and downstream or UDP upstream and downstream—or focus just on Loss or RTT.

User-Friendly Features

From the Server app of TamoSoft Throughput Test, changing connection ports or protocol types is a breeze! You can also keep an eye on the connection log to see what's happening in real-time.

While TamoSoft Throughput Test has an easy-to-use interface with active charts that make everything clear, we wish the server application allowed us to copy IP addresses more easily. Still, it’s a great tool for anyone wanting to keep their network in check!
