TapServer is a super handy tool that lets you turn your iOS device into a MIDI controller. Pretty cool, right? Getting started is easy! Just follow these simple steps:
How to Set Up TapServer
- First, move TapServer into your
/Applicationsfolder. - Next, head over to
/Applications/Utilitiesand open up Audio MIDI Setup. - If the MIDI window isn’t showing yet, click on Window -> Show MIDI Window.
- You’ll see an icon called “IAC Drive.” Double-click it!
- Make sure to check the box that says “Device is online.” This gets it ready to rock.
- If there aren’t any ports listed, just click the plus sign (+) to add a new port.
- You can also double-click on any port in the list to give it a custom name. Make it something fun!
- Finally, close the Audio MIDI Setup app and you're all set!
