Solving tile based puzzles requires both attention to details and strategical thinking. TapSquares is a small puzzle game for the Mac that enables you to enjoy this type of pastime for as long as you like.

TapSquares comes with an interesting gameplay: after the tiles are shuffled you must tap different tiles in order to rebuild the original image. However, a single tap will turn both the selected tile and four others that surround it. This, of course, raises the difficulty level.

Moreover, via the Preferences window, you also have the possibility to specify the tap pattern you want to use (the attached illustrations are quite revealing). The same area enables you to toggle the tap sound effects.

Initially, the puzzle is using three different colors and you must tap the tiles until the board is covered by a single color.

At the same time, TapSquares allows you generate puzzles starting from one of your images: simply drag and drop the picture on top of the game’s main window. The game will use different photo effects to create 3 different tile sets.

Last but not least, you can adjust the number of tiles used for each puzzle: this way you can easily adjust the difficulty level.
