Taxonomy is a handy little app for Mac that makes organizing big file collections way easier. If you've ever felt stuck trying to sort through folders, this tool can really save you some time. With Taxonomy, you can quickly browse through different folders and move files around without any hassle.

Easy Navigation with Hotkeys

This app stands out because it offers hotkeys for almost every action. This means you can sort your documents much faster. Plus, it supports Quick Look, so you can preview files before deciding where to move them.

Organized Layout

The main window in Taxonomy is split into three sections. On the left side, you see your source folders. The right side shows the target directories where you want to move your files. In the center, there's a preview area where you can check out what's inside those folders.

Hotkeys Make Life Easier

Each target directory gets its own hotkey automatically, and you'll see keyboard combos for various actions on the selected item at the bottom of the preview section. You’ll also find details about each file like its size and creation date down there!

Breeze Through Your Files

You can navigate through your folders using arrow keys, open files directly in Finder with Command+R, or use Command+Down Arrow to open them up quickly. If you're curious about a file's content, just hit the Space bar to enable Quick Look.

Simplified Trash Management

If you need to delete something fast, Command+Backspace sends it right to the Trash! All these shortcuts are aimed at speeding up your file management experience. Just a heads-up though—Taxonomy doesn’t let you customize these hotkeys.
