Teachers Diary

Computers have invaded every domain of activity, including education. In class, specialized applications can be used even by teachers to replace the registry, or simply to take notes. As such, Teachers Diary wants to help teachers keep an organized database of classes, students, and marks.

Before you can enjoy all the application has to offer, you need to check whether or not your computer is fitted with .NET Framework. A default database is created the at first launch, with the possibility to choose default save location, including for exporting the whole database as CSS.

Export options aren’t limited to CSS though. However, you first need to add some values if you want to export any data. When done, dedicated options allow you to create a list of students in TXT or HTML form, as well as list of class marks, and individual student mark in HTML.

You might encounter some program stability issues along the way, but this is mostly the case when no data is available to insert where needed. As such, it’s advisable to first create a list of students, and mark groups to minimize the risk of any errors. You can edit the mark format in case your school uses something different.

With classes, study year, and subjects configured in the initial launch screen, you can now simply add marks to existing students. This can either be done by selecting a student, a mark group, and choosing corresponding marks, with the possibility to include notes, or by adding sets of marks by selecting the group, and the corresponding mark for each individual.

Teachers Diary comes with good intentions, providing an intuitive set of tools with which to handle your class much easier. Unfortunately, it feels like it’s still in early stages of development, with a high chance of being interrupted by various errors.
