Your mission? Head north! Before you set out, you'll meet your three party members who will stick with you throughout your journey. You’ll also learn that sorghum seeds are now the new currency! Use them wisely to buy food and water until you find the next merchant.

Watch Out for Dangers!

But be careful—dysentery can take you down, though starvation or dehydration might get you first. The gameplay is straightforward: manage your supplies and decide how fast your group should travel based on their condition.

Weathering the Storms

As you progress, expect some wild weather thanks to global warming. You’ll face storms and heatwaves that will challenge your survival skills. Choosing whether to ride out bad weather or brave it can really test your strategy!

What Could Be Better?

At the end of it all, I found myself wishing for more content. The game isn’t super long, which means after one or two playthroughs, it can feel a bit repetitive. It seems like they focused more on providing educational material rather than expanding gameplay.

If The Climate Trail had a bit more depth and variety, it could definitely become something special—a true successor to Oregon Trail!
