The Search Mania

There are many applications and programs that you could use in order to go online and search for various information. One of them is The Search Mania.

It's a nice software solution that helps you search for information on the Internet using simply a keyword. All websites and search engines are arranged into various categories.

The application installs quickly, it's built on Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and it has that well-known layout. It offers you access to various sections easily, simply pick the tab that you would like to use.

It comes with the option to change the skin of the interface, you can pick from multiple available options. But other than that, it doesn't have any other customization options. It also doesn't come with a help menu, it lacks any tips or instructions on how to use the program.

You simply need to type in a keyword in order to search for content. You can choose from multiple categories, including one with links to Google.com. You can perform searches on Rediff.com, Yahoo.com, Ask.com or Aol.com.

It lets you refresh and stop page loading at any time. Links found in the search engine open with Internet Explorer, there's no option to open them inside the application which is quite inconvenient. You can perform an encyclopedia search on Wikipedia, Britannica or High Beam.

It lets you search on various video streaming websites, including YouTube, Google Video, Yahoo Video, Metacafe, Dailymotion and AOL Video.

It lets you perform miscellaneous searches on PDF Geni, IconFinder, FilesTube, Bugmenot, Usniff, BoardTracker and IMDB if you want. It would have been nice if it allowed you to at least add your own website or the search engine that you prefer.

The Search Mania is a very simple application that you could use in order to search for content on the Internet, but you can't open links inside the program or at least save them.
