What Are Tiles?

So, when you're building 2D games or scenes, there’s this popular method of using tiles. Think of a tile as a rectangular piece that fits nicely in a grid. When you put a bunch of these tiles together, you get what’s called a tileset.

User-Friendly Interface

This program features an intuitive GUI divided into three main sections: 'Input,' 'Template,' and 'Result.' In the 'Input' section, you can upload your texture model and set up how the tiles are generated. Want to make each tile from four quarters? Or maybe create them from just the center? You’ve got options! You can also adjust the overlay preset (choose from 4, 8, or even 13 tiles) and tweak merge and overlap amounts.

Create Your Own Templates

The 'Template' area is where the fun happens! Here, you can see your tile patterns come to life in a graphical sequence. The template image shows numbers over each tile in an easy-to-follow pattern.

You can change up the template type too—choose from blob, wang corners, RPG-maker styles, double blob templates, and more! Plus, if you're feeling creative, feel free to input your own custom templates!
