What is Time Warp FOR LINUX?

Time Warp

Time Warp is a handy little app that makes converting between Hijri and Gregorian dates super easy. Nowadays, everything we do is just a click away, right? So why not make this conversion simpler? Instead of searching online every time, you can have it right on your desktop!

Why Time Warp?

This app was created out of love—a son built it for his dad who wanted a quick and simple way to convert these dates offline. That’s a pretty cool reason to start a project if you ask me!

Understanding the Hijri Calendar

If you're not familiar, the Hijri calendar has 12 lunar months and usually totals 354 or 355 days in a year. It plays a big role in determining important Islamic holidays and rituals, like fasting during Ramadan or making the pilgrimage.

What Can Time Warp Do?

Time Warp can handle conversions from Hijri to Gregorian dates and back. But that’s not all! It also lets you switch between full dates like dd/MM/yyyy with ease. Need to copy the results? There’s even a button for that!

User-Friendly Design

This GTK4 app looks fantastic on GNOME systems! Plus, it automatically adjusts its appearance based on your theme—so it’ll fit right in with your other apps.

A Simple Solution for Everyone

While it might not seem groundbreaking at first glance, I love how it's designed specifically for Linux users and made by someone who truly cares about making life easier for their dad. If you want to check out Time Warp, give it a try!
