Before, you could only use Timely through a web browser, iPhone, or Apple Watch. But now, with the new Timely OS X app, managing projects from your desktop has never been easier!

Getting Started with Timely

If you've already created a Timely account, just log into the app and check out what's on your agenda for today. You can easily add new tasks, link them to specific projects, and keep track of how many hours have been logged so far.

Stay on Track with Easy Monitoring

The timer for your current task shows up right in the menu bar. This makes it super easy to keep an eye on it without losing focus. Plus, all tasks are color-coded based on which project they belong to! You can even drag them around or resize them with just a few clicks.

Limitations of the OS X App

However, there are some downsides. You can't view your schedule for upcoming days yet, and you still need to use the web app for creating projects. So, most account-related tasks have to happen in a browser.

What You Can Do from Your Desktop

You can do basic things like adding new tasks and tracking their progress right from the desktop app. Sadly, creating new projects or inviting users isn't possible here. All those features are available in the Timely iOS app, so it's odd that they aren't included in the OS X version.

A Useful Tool for Everyone

No doubt about it—Timely is super helpful for businesses or even solo users since it combines scheduling and time tracking all in one place! Your tasks and timers sync across devices too. But remember that the OS X app doesn't offer all the features like its web and iOS counterparts do, so you'll still want to keep a browser tab open for full access.
