Towey WebSurfer is a web browsing utility that proposes to be your worthy alternative to today's mainstream browsers.

Since the introduction of multi-tabs in Internet browsers together with favorites, history, and many other GUI elements, the overall layout of many applications pretty much stayed the same. These are basic functions that this program also uses, being, this way, familiar enough for all of its potential users.

When opening the web surfing app for the first time, we can check out things like the URL bar and buttons, like 'Home,' Back,' 'Forward,' and so on. However, features don't stop here. Users can access RSS feeds, history, and cookie viewer, together with an additional host of web page options like 'View Source,' 'Document Explorer,' and more.

Towey WebSurfer is obviously based on the old Internet Explorer 7 source code so it is not surprising that most of the options, links, and drop-down menus are ripped straight from the Microsoft browser. However, there is a small difference, users can now save their favorite pages right from the main control interface, besides the mini drop-down menu when right-clicking on a page.

We also found a peculiar bug that probably is related to the Internet Explorer code modification, that makes the search engine bar completely useless. When we attempted to actually search something, the browser crashed.

Towey WebSurfer is basically an Internet Explorer clone with all of its features intact, complete with settings, tabs, and buttons. It adds nothing to the source code, and, in fact, is clunkier and slower than Microsoft browser.

It claims to be a different web browsing solution to other mainstream browsers when, actually, it offers us a return to the default Windows web surfing application, which is in itself a non-alternative since it comes by default with the Windows operating system.
