Tray Weather Forecast

Tray Weather Forecast is a small Windows application that brings the weather forecast right in your System Tray.

Basically, the idea behind this app is as simple as it gets: you just need to define a city and Tray Weather Forecast shows the current temperature as a typical Tray icon.

If you need more information, simply click on this icon and a small window pops out to display the weather forecast for up to nine days. It shows not only the current temperature, but also chances of precipitations, wind speed, and humidity level for each selected city.

You can define and track multiple cities, with two different forecast updating modes, namely manually and automatically. If you wish to update the data without any user input, simply select the automatic option and define the interval for the action.

Although both the icon and the forecast window look pretty good, they can be further tweaked with different icon sets. The Tray icon is highly customizable too, as it offers multiple color and font options.

Tray Weather Forecast offers proxy support too and works with both metric and imperial units. The app can be launched on Windows start to run in the Tray, thus requiring absolutely no user input.

It's not a resource hog, and this is clearly a very good thing, especially because it was designed to run all the time. Tray Weather Forecast runs smoothly on all Windows versions and it doesn't require administrator privileges on Windows 7 workstations.
