TreeNoote

TreeNote is a recently launched app that aims at making your note-taking process faster, more organized, and accessible by allowing to store your file notes locally or in any indicated synchronization folder in the cloud such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, etc.

Note-taking programs can be used in many ways. Some use these for writing down detailed information about a process/an object/a tool, others use them like to-do task lists, and others turn their functionalities to shopping/wish lists. All you need from a program of that kind is to deliver the minimal requirements to satisfy those needs.

TreeNode offers a hierarchically-disposed note system with the possibility to reconfigure the initial structure: change the folders’ names, add/remove sub-folders, modify and customize your notes/lists, etc. Among others, the tool also allows for text-searching across files, password protecting your notes, and synchronizing the content to make it available at all times (from the cloud, PC, USB).

The text editor is where you write all your notes, ideas, tasks. Intrinsically, it offers a variety of font pallets, the entire chromatic spectrum, alongside all the necessary elements for making your notes truly customized and stand out: bullet and keyboard insertions, text highlight, text formatting, etc.

The editor also allows for URL insertion and picture attachment (using drag and drop) with the resizing option. One of the most helpful features is the one that reads the date and extracts the exact time of your device — with the click of a button, you can document your notes even more accurately based on the precise time you wrote them.

The app is still in its early stages and its developers have improvements to make, but the flexibility, ease of access (it is also a portable app), note-taking capabilities make it extremely useful and desirable. The interface could be improved but it does the job and all the extras the tool offers manage to compensate for it (customizations, security, file-hierarchization and synchronization, text search, multi-language availability).
