Tregex

Powerful Features of Tregex

When you use Tregex along with Tsurgeon, you get a lot of the same cool features that TGrep2 offered, but with even more useful options for natural language trees. For example, it can tell if "A is the lexical head of B" or if "A and B share a specific substring." This is handy for finding nodes that are connected.

Speed Considerations

One thing to keep in mind is that Tregex doesn't create preprocessed indexed files, which means it might be a bit slower than TGrep2 when you're searching through big treebanks. But don't worry; it's still super useful!
