Tremulous FOR MAC

Tremulous is an engaging first person shooter game that has been developed on the ioquake3 game engine. The game also integrates real-time strategy elements and can be played on online or local servers.

To start playing the Tremulous game, you must either connect to one of the available public servers (Tremulous will automatically scan and display the list of online servers), or create a local one. In the first instance, you might have to download additional maps and other content.

When creating local servers, you get to choose the map you want to use, to setup time limits, the maximum number of players, to define an access password, and so on. If you want to play only with your friends, setting up a password protected serves is the best alternative.

Within Tremulous you get to choose between 2 races, aliens and humans. As a human, you get to personalize your setup by acquiring new weapons, armour, and other objects. As an alien, you get to use different classes, each having unique capabilities.

There are 16 types of structures that you can build and integrate in your strategy. Tremulous also integrates a flexible map and weapon system: you can quickly change your weapon if you don’t like it, and you get to use animated map objects, light flares, trigerring points, and so on.

Based on the ioquake engine, Tremulous is featuring a realistic physics and motion system, while the visual effects are rendered by a flexible particle system. As a result, Tremulous provides a fast paced gameplay suitable for any first person shooter game. On top of that, the RTS elements makes everything a lot more interesting.
