TVDownloader is an intuitive desktop app that can help you grab videos and audio tracks from YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, DailyMotion, Veoh and numerous other hosting websites.

The application downloads and converts content using youtube-dl and FFmpeg, but it provides users with a novice-friendly GUI that makes these operations a lot simpler. The configurations are performed from the main program window, and commands are then sent to the bundled utilities automatically.

Once a download has started, it can be monitored from the Command Prompt window that is opened. The software monitors its progress and also displays the total file size, download speed and ETA.

Currently, TVDownloader supports more than 900 video hosting websites, so it is safe to say that you are not likely to have any trouble saving most of the clips you come across.

You can choose between the four video resolution options that are available (360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p) or just have the app download the highest quality version of the clip that is available.

However, it is worth noting that we were not able to download any YouTube videos at 1080p or higher, although this was not an issue when we provided links from Vimeo.

If you only want to save an audio stream to MP3, this application has you covered. This function is great for those who wish to save songs without the accompanying video, as you will not need to perform any conversions manually.
