Twin Finder

Twin Finder is a super easy app made for Mac OS X that helps you find duplicate files on your Mac’s hard drive or any external storage devices. If you’ve ever been frustrated by all those extra copies of files taking up space, this tool is just what you need!

How Twin Finder Works

Getting started with Twin Finder is a breeze. First, you pick the folder you want to scan. It can be a single folder or even an entire partition! Once you've selected where to look, Twin Finder does its magic and scans everything.

Organizing Duplicate Files

After the scan, it shows you a list of duplicate files neatly grouped together. This makes it way easier to sort through them. You can see which files are older, newer, smaller, or larger thanks to the handy top toolbar options like “Older”, “Newer”, “Smaller”, and “Larger.” This way, deciding what to keep and what to toss becomes a piece of cake!

Selecting Files for Deletion

If at any point you change your mind about the files you've picked, don’t worry! You can quickly deselect everything or flip your selection around. Plus, if you're curious about a file's details, Twin Finder lets you open its path and use Mac OS X’s Quick Look feature to preview it.

Deleting Unwanted Files

Once you're happy with your choices and ready to get rid of those duplicates cluttering up your Mac’s hard drive, just hit that “Delete” button. Twin Finder will show you all the files lined up for deletion and let you choose whether to move them to Trash or delete them permanently.

User Experience

During our testing, Twin Finder worked just as we hoped! It helped us clear out numerous duplicates that were hogging precious space on our machines. However, one small thing we wish it had was a built-in search form for filtering displayed items even better.
