Twins File Merger is capable of joining together multiple files into a single item. This software application is rather intuitive and offers support for MP3 audio tracks and MPEG videos (MPEG, MPG, MPE, M2V, MP2, DAT), along with text (TXT, CSV, SQL, LOG) and Word documents (DOC, RTF). The only rule is that it cannot combine files from different file types, except text and Word.

The installation procedure is fast and the only notable aspect is that Microsoft Word must be installed for combining Word docs. However, it's not mandatory for the other merging jobs.

It adopts a seemingly outdated interface with a neatly organized structure, where you can begin by selecting the types of files to merge. You can add items to the task list from files or entire directories, check out the size and full path of each entry, as well as change their order in the list. This information can be saved as a Twins File Merger file list, copied or printed.

In order to merge all items in the list, all you have to do is indicate a saving directory and new file name. This task shouldn't take too long, depending on the total size of all parts. We haven't come across any issues in our tests, as the tool didn't hang, crash or prompt error messages. It left a small footprint on system resources, running on low CPU and RAM.
