Arkanoid styled games continue to have their charm and the colorful graphics that usually accompany this type of titles create a relaxing atmosphere.

At least in theory, the game play is fairly easy: you must use your ship to bounce a ball between you an a bricks wall without letting the sphere get passed you. Each time the ball hits the wall, that brick is usually destroyed and you must continue until you clear the level.

To increase the difficulty degree, some games require you to hit the wall in the same place multiple times or include surprise obstacles.

Ultranium 4 is a fairly easy to play game that combines the setting of an Arkanoid match with the fast paced action usually associated with shooter games: you will also receive weapons and you can shoot at the wall to be more efficient and get to the next level in no time.

As usual, Ultranium 4 provides a number of lives you can use per game, keeps track of the number of blocks you hit each time and calculates your score. You can collect new weapons each level and you can view the highest score for the level at all times.

Ultranium 4 includes over 100 entertaining maps which you can play on your own or with your friends in multiplayer mode. Other notable features include the 32-bit colors that create an arcade effect and the stereo sound effects.

The Ultranium 4 combination of two classic game styles can be quite entertaining and at times even challenging: even though you are shooting at the wall, you must also be careful not to lose the ball.
