With all the things you can perform online, the web browser has now become a multifunctional tool. It can serve as a place to work, or even entertain yourself with music or videos. However, it’s somewhat safer to have some offline applications, just in case your connection goes down. For instance, UltraNote can help you write down important stuff, which you can either keep on the desktop, or minimize if not used.

The application skips you both the time and effort needed to go through a setup process, which means you can take all your notes with you on a removable storage device. Apart from a great deal of flexibility, portability also implies that the target PC’s health status remains intact, since registries don’t need to be modified for things to work.

Right after launch, the application hides in the tray area, with no tooltip or notifications to let you know it’s there. Interacting with it makes a new blank note show up on your screen, so be careful not to abuse the left mouse button, or you end up with one too many initial notes.

A note can be freely moved around the desktop, resized, and pinned, so no other window gets on top. Customization plays an important role here, with the possibility to fully change the way text is shown, with different styles, fonts, size values, and colors, not just for the whole text in a note, but for all selected characters.

The note itself benefits from visual enhancements as well. You’re free to change the colors of any note, with a cool gradient effect for the title bar. You can change different title text and font, besides what’s written inside.

The application lets you attach any kind of file to notes, just as you would to emails. In fact, a note can be sent via email, feature which adds a lot to practicality. The only thing missing here is a general list of all notes, with option only allowing you to either minimize, or maximize all of them at once.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that UltraNote is sure to help you better organize notes, or heavy loads of info. Every note can be fully customized, ranging from general note layout to text. These can even be created in the form of an email, or sent to a custom address along with attachments, making it definitely worth a try.
