PDF editors have come a long way from simple data visualizers, and this process has seen a parallel evolution with the increasing demands and requirements of the capabilities of PDF data. A multitude of online services provide simple and even more complex PDF editing tools, but UPDF aims at offering users a simple, centralized desktop platform for visualizing and editing PDF data, all encapsulated within an elegant and minimalist design.

One of the first features that came to our attention while testing out the app, was the support for multiple files, which is provided through a dedicated tab system at the top of the layout, which makes controlling several PDFs simultaneously, a breezy task.

Besides the accessibility provided for the files themselves, the application’s features are also distributed thoughtfully throughout the interface, making determining which tool to use for a particular task, quite simple.

A multitude of tasks can be achieved using the features on offer, and we were impressed by the amount of flexibility and customization on offer for each particular item. Users have the ability to choose various colors and formatting for the added text, as well as for the comments and their background.

We believe that the included filtering module also offers a good way to easily isolate the required content, in just a few simple steps. Last but not least, drawing shapes and customizing them is also supported, making for a complete feature set.
