Port forwarding is a rather complex operation as it requires a good understanding of network concepts. Not only that, but there is also a risk of entering the wrong information, which might disrupt your network or make certain services inaccessible. Moreover, incorrect configuration can also expose your network to potential security risks.

UPnP is a lightweight application that can simplifies this process by automating the setup of these port openings using the UPnP protocol.

The app is portable, so you don’t need to install it, just launch, and you are ready to start forwarding your ports accordingly. The interface is a rather small window where you can view a list of the ports that are already forwarded towards various activities. The list includes extra details, namely app name, protocol, external and internal port, IP address and state. To add your port, you need to specify the same details.

It is worth mentioning that the app includes a few profiles that are mostly targeted towards various games, such as Dota 2, Half-Life or Counter-Strike, for instance. You can include your own profile by clicking on the plus button located right under this menu. You can also delete existing profiles using the minus button that you can find in the same place.
