Usage is a super simple app that helps you track how much time you spend on different programs. As soon as you open it, the tracking starts automatically. You can see all the details right in your status bar!

Easy Access to Your Usage Stats

The Usage app adds a little icon to your status bar, making it easy to check out your usage. Just click on it to open up its cool autohiding panel. In this menu, you’ll find a list of apps you’ve used, and there’s even an option for a colorful graph if you want one (but you can hide it if that’s not your style).

No Setup Needed!

The best part? Usage starts tracking right away! You don’t have to set anything up or click around to get started. It automatically figures out the names of all the apps you're using and gives them different color labels so you can easily tell them apart.

Organize Your Apps

If you want to see all your used apps in one place, just head over to a separate window that shows everything. Here, you can organize your apps into groups! Just create a new category by hitting the button in the bottom left corner and drag-and-drop your utilities into their new home.

Instant Updates in Your Chart

Once you've grouped your apps together, the Usage chart updates immediately. Instead of seeing each app separately, you'll now see one combined chunk with its own color label representing the group.

Filter and Share Your Data

You’ll also find that “Show all” window handy for changing those default color labels or deleting entries if needed. Plus, filtering usage data by day, week, or month is super easy! If you'd like to share what you've tracked with others, there’s an option to export everything into a text document.
