utlTimeLogger Portable

Made as the portable counterpart of utlTimeLogger, this is an approachable and straightforward piece of software that you can use to monitor the activity of your employees, such as computer usage.

Since there is no setup pack involved, you can extract the program files to any part of the disk and just click the executable to launch utlTimeLogger. Otherwise, you can save it to a USB flash drive to directly run it on any PC with minimum effort. More importantly, it doesn't modify the Windows registry settings.

Wrapped up in a user-friendly interface, the app shows the system uptime, along with the app start time, pause, restarting and stop time, in addition to the number of pauses, and partially logged running and break time.

You can open the database to examine further information revolving the total time, pauses, days and other aspects, create reminders, use a stop watch, enable app tracking, and minimize the tool to the system tray area.

utlTimeLogger can be asked to run at every system startup until further notice. It's possible to set a daily work time limit for the reminder, create a desktop or startup shortcut for the app, switch to a different language for the interface, enable confirmation dialogs when exiting, and activate automatic backups, among others.

The software utility worked smoothly in our tests, thanks to the fact that utlTimeLogger didn't hang, crash or display error messages. It had a good response time and low impact on computer performance, running on low CPU and RAM.

Thanks to its intuitive interface and options, utlTimeLogger can be quickly figured out by all types of users. The free edition has a lot of restricted features, though, which can only be unlocked by upgrading to the pro version.
