Probably not day goes by without you watching a video, even if for a few seconds to put a smile on your face. However, videos under popular formats can easily be edited, or included without your permission in particular sections. To prevent this, Video2EXE wants to help you encrypt videos so only you can access them.

Note that the application doesn’t take you through a setup process, so you can start encrypting your videos as soon as download is done. A cool advantage of portability is that you can easily carry the application around on a USB flash drive to always have a method of encrypting videos at hand, without putting stability of the target PC at risk.

The interface comes with a custom-made design, but isn’t really something to make it stand out from the crowd. Accommodation is a walk in the park though, with a large area to display the list of videos to be converted, as well as the possibility to have a backup created for original files, just in case something goes wrong.

Input consists of one or more files, which means batch processing is supported. In terms of file support, the application allows you to process those under formats like WMV, AVI, ASF, MPG, RM, RMVB, MP4, FLV, and VOB. Output files are only saved as EXE, so that nobody can access them without your consent.

Note that the application processes original files, but you can choose to have a backup created. Output is delivered in the source folder. Unfortunately, there’s no reverse operation, so a backup is more or less mandatory. This latter item can be accessed by simply handling the name, removing the associated extension.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Video2EXE comes with good intentions, but it offers a little less flexibility than expected. No editing options can be performed before or after processing, while encrypted videos are close to impossible to access.
