VideoWorkLink is a tool designed to help coordinate projects and other work activities via live video, but while maintaining your privacy at the same time. The idea here is to create links for a video conference that you can send others and they decide whether or not to accept the video call. The tool is lightweight on your system's resources and it consumes around 1% of 100 Mbps bandwidth for an average team of five members, according to the developer.
A nice touch for the application stems from the fact that you start up blurred, so even though others can see that you are present, they cannot see what you are doing. When you are ready, simply use right click to unblur yourself and participate in the video call. In case the other participants to the conference want to unblur you, then the application sends a clear notification in this sense a few seconds before it happens.
As previously mentioned, accepting to participate in a video call is mutual and voluntary. You can check out the settings to the left panel for the video mode and select one of the available options, namely you can see participants only when your camera is on, you can communicate when the camera is on, everyone can turn off their camera or everyone needs to have the cam on to participate.
