Downloading media content from the Internet has become a far easier endeavor, at least compared to how things looked merely 10 years ago. Dedicated online platforms and desktop solutions allow one easy access and download for some of the most common media formats. VidiCable takes on the task of allowing users to browse various video platforms and download the preferred files, with options for performing conversions and selecting required output characteristics.

The app comes equipped with a built-in library of online video platforms, which are neatly arranged into alphabetically structured categories. There are multiple entries, covering some of the most common platforms, such as YouTube, Netflix, and more.

However, once users select a preferred platform, the app will only open a default browser tab, with that platform, instead of actually opening it into its interface, as expected. As helpful as this might be, it can actually make the entire process a bit more tedious.

Having acquired the URL of the video which users wish to download and, if required, convert, it needs to be manually added in the download field. There is no automatic clipboard detection feature or some other form of automated input.

All the downloaded content will be kept in a dedicated download library, where users can easily access it at all times. However, the actual options aside from the output directory and quality are quite scarce, leaving more demanding users craving for more.

Although lacking advanced functionality, VidiCable can offer users a simple tool for downloading videos from platforms such as YouTube or Netflix, through a series of minimalist features.
