Virtual Modem is an advanced software application that lets you use the Internet instead of direct phone calls to establish connections between communication tools. It's backed by powerful and approachable options.

Installation is fast and simple, and the only notable aspect about it is that Virtual Modem needs to set up a network driver to work. As for the interface, Virtual Modem opts for a standard window with a neatly organized structure that shouldn't give you any trouble.

Virtual modems can be added to the list by specifying the virtual serial port (ranging from COM1 to COM256), the TCP port number used for accepting incoming calls, along with a remote computer name/IP address and TCP port number for all outgoing calls. You can select the remote side between FabulaTech virtual modem and raw data TCP connection mode.

It's possible to create as many virtual modems as you desire, edit their properties later, remove any of them from the list, as well as disable all modems with one click. The software application lets you create and manage an address book with contacts (phone number, remote PC name or IP address, and TCP port) to be able to track them down easier.

We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that it didn't freeze, crash or prompt error messages. It had minimal impact on computer performance, running on low CPU and RAM.
