Vocab is a cool macOS app made just for you to boost your vocabulary in different languages! It has a bunch of built-in vocabularies, and guess what? You can even add your own words and phrases in any language you want.

Awesome Built-In Dictionaries

This app includes dictionaries for English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, and Spanish. Each dictionary comes packed with 500 words. If you want to create your own dictionary, all you need to do is pick the source and target languages and upload your files.

Fun Quiz Feature

One of the best parts of Vocab is the quiz feature. You can challenge yourself with up to 500 questions! The app shows you a word from any language in the current dictionary, and it’s up to you to provide its translation.

Learn from Your Mistakes

If you get an answer wrong, no worries! The app will show you the correct translation so you can learn. Plus, at the end of each quiz session, it lets you review only the words you missed. This way, you'll keep practicing until you've got them down!

Smart Word Organization

Your words are organized into neat categories like all words, newest additions, oldest ones, difficult terms, long phrases, rarely quizzed items—basically anything that helps you learn better. This makes it super easy for you to practice no matter how tough the words are.

User-Friendly Interface

The interface is really easy to navigate. You’ll find a toolbar that gives quick access to common actions such as starting a quiz or adding/removing groups or words. There's also an Inspector for details on each word.

Edit and Customize Your Entries

You can add notes or comments for each word entry along with info like last correct answer date added or difficulty level—all editable right from the main window or through the Inspector panel!

Preferences That Suit You

The Preferences window lets you customize display options too! Want to ignore optional words in quizzes? Or shake things up when giving a wrong answer? It’s all possible here!
