Vocabulary Wizard is a super handy app that helps you learn new words and phrases. It's great for checking out unknown words in its built-in dictionary or even preparing for English tests like the SAT, GRE, ACT, or TOEFL.

Simple to Use

Even though the app might look a bit old-fashioned, don't let that fool you! It doesn't take much time to get used to it. Plus, it has a really rich dictionary packed with useful information. You'll find all the functions neatly organized in a simple toolbar, and if you want to see some questions, just hit the "Q" button on the left corner.

Study with Decks

The "Deck" feature shows all the chapters available for SAT, TOEFL, and GRE exams. You can easily pick random word lists to study or test yourself!

Exam Mode Choices

When you go into exam mode, there are several options to choose from. You can decide if you want to test your knowledge by matching words with their meanings or even do spelling exercises. It also lets you customize how you want to see things like whether to show all meanings or just specific ones.

User-Friendly Experience

In exam mode, Vocabulary Wizard displays the word in big letters along with how it's pronounced. You'll get four choices to pick from! There's even a small score table that adds points when you're right and takes them away when you're not. The correct answer gets highlighted with a blue circle so you know what's up!

Diving Deeper into Words

If you click on the number next to any definition, it will open up the dictionary so you can dive deeper into that word's meaning. You can add new terms too and explore other phrases.

Customizable Study Mode

In study mode, there are tons of options! You can hide details like pronunciation or examples if you want. Plus, set a specific delay between each word slide or even make it so a voice speaks out the words for you!
