If you need to make sure your data and privacy are not affected by unexpected VPN dropouts, VPNKS can provide the necessary protection.
After you have installed the application and you've made sure you have at least one VPN active. When started, VPNKS will try to detect your connection. If your VPN is up, a green message will be displayed as "VPN Detected!". This way you can make sure your connection works. When you deactivate or lose the connection, the message will turn yellow; "VPN is down."
The interface also includes the "Config" tab where you can manage your preferences and programs, the "Exit" tab which closes the tool and "About", where you can find information about the version, developer, and a small "readme" field.
VPNKS will instantly detect your VPN connection right from the startup, which is a big plus as there are no waiting time or slow booting. The termination of processes is also done very quickly, the risk of data leakage being heavily reduced.
While active, the tool will be visible in the system tray and will monitor your connection status from the background. From "Config" you can check the "Start with windows" box to make you are protected at OS startup.
In order to facilitate a strong and secure environment, the app sports a number of kill switches. "Program termination" kills all listed programs when the VPN is down; "Connection Block" stops all listed programs' inbound and outbound connections; "Overkill Switch" blocks all the connections and closes all programs.
"Process protection" is another useful feature that won't allow any program to start up if the VPN is not connected. Also, you can opt for shutting down the PC if the connection drops.
In conclusion, if you are a daily VPN user and want to make sure that your privacy is not compromised and your data is safeguarded, VPN Kill Switch will take care of your connection status. Being very responsive, this tool will shut down your programs in no time to ensure adequate protection. All types of users can operate the app as VPNKS is mostly automatic.
Chrome and Firefox extensions are also available for users who want to block access to specific websites on VPN connection drops.
