VSCView

VSCView is a handy tool for gamers, especially if you’re using the Steam controller. This software has been around for a bit, and fans love its cool design! Sometimes, it can be tough to find programs that work well with this gamepad, especially ones that show live input while you're gaming.

What is VSCView?

VSCView is an open-source utility that’s perfect for testing your Steam controller. It also lets you show live input to your viewers if you're streaming or recording videos. It might seem pretty basic right now, but it’s super easy to get the hang of!

Getting Started

Before jumping in, make sure you have the right version of .NET Framework on your PC. No need for complicated installations; just unpack the files and launch the executable file to get started.

No Worries About Data Storage

The good news? VSCView doesn’t store any data on your drives, so you don’t have to stress about leftover files. Just keep in mind that your preferences won’t be saved either. You’ll need to set things up again each time you launch it.

User Interface Features

Once VSCView is up and running, just right-click anywhere in the main window to choose from different themes. You can move the window around easily, but resizing isn’t an option at this point.

Live Input Display

You’ll see a model of the Steam controller displayed on-screen. The top buttons and triggers pop up separately, so you can see everything clearly. Any button presses will show up in the app window, plus you can change the background color to something more appealing!

A Beta Release with Potential

Just a heads-up: VSCView is still in early Beta release mode! This means there are probably more features coming soon. Right now, it offers limited functions and customization options, but even with these restrictions, it's really useful for anyone using a Steam controller.
