Wallche

Wallche is a very simple Windows application that can automatically change your desktop wallpaper based on a user-defined list of backgrounds.

The first things you shall notice after launching Wallche is the simplicity it relies on, as the program groups all features in a single and basic window.

The user initially needs to define the list of wallpapers to be used on the desktop, so you can also add pictures one by one or simply provide the path to a folder that hosts all photos.

Right-clicking on any file in the list lets you configure the style, which can be center, tile or stretch, but also to remove so-called “dead entries”, which are actually the pictures that don't exist anymore.

The bottom of the main window is being used for settings, so you can choose between a sequential or random wallpaper changing process, with a single option to remember the last wallpaper. You can define the interval to automatically change the desktop background that can be either your own value or a predefined one.

Another good thing about Wallche is that it provides a System Tray icon that lets you easily jump to a new wallpaper or remove the desktop background completely.

It doesn't hamper system performance and everything works like a charm no matter the Windows version you're using.

Overall, Wallche is a handy application with a very basic approach, but with enough features to attract both beginners and those more experienced. It does the same thing as other similar programs, but with a less complicated interface and configuration options.
