Webon is an open-source, freely available software that helps website admins and owners manage their sites easily. It's designed to let you create and maintain web pages without a lot of hassle.
The developers describe it as a project for managing websites. With Webon, you can quickly set up your web pages with minimal effort and in no time at all!
Ready to get started? First, you'll need to create the Webon database. After that, just copy the installation files from the tarball into your web server’s public_html directory using the INSTALL shell script.
You will then need to copy all of the Webon files to your web server's root. To create the necessary database tables, use this script: create_table.php. And that’s pretty much it! Once you're done, you can access the admin interface at public_html/webon/admin.
Webon is written in PHP, so it needs a solid web server like Apache or nginx and requires PHP5 along with PostgreSQL as its database server. Make sure your setup is ready!
The software is available for download as a universal sources archive in tar.gz format. Just extract it where needed, and you'll find everything required for installation inside. Plus, there’s also a version that supports JavaScript available on the project's homepage.
This application works best on GNU/Linux systems and has been tested on both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. It’s great if you want something reliable!
