Whatsie is an awesome OS X app that lets you use WhatsApp without needing to open a web browser! It's an open source project, so it's not officially linked to WhatsApp Inc., but it does the job pretty well. With Whatsie, you can access all your chats right from your desktop.
To kick things off with the Whatsie application, you'll need to have the regular WhatsApp app on your phone. Just scan the QR code that pops up in Whatsie, and you're all set!
Remember, only certain phones work with WhatsApp Web. You can use it on Android phones, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, and a few Nokia models like S40 and S60.
The cool thing about the desktop version of Whatsie is that it connects automatically to whatever account you're using on your phone. Just make sure your phone stays connected so you can keep chatting.
In the main window of Whatsie, you can check out all your current conversations, send messages instantly, and see what others are sharing with you. Whether you want to pick up an old chat or start a new one, it's super easy!
The search tool is simple too! You can find old messages or contacts in just a few clicks. No more scrolling through endless chats!
The best part? Sharing pictures or videos is a breeze! Just drag and drop files into Whatsie, and it'll recognize what you're trying to share instantly. If you try to upload something that isn’t supported, you'll get a quick notification letting you know.
This desktop app has all the features you love from WhatsApp Web. That means you can continue your chats right from your Mac, type faster than ever, or share files without having to send them through your phone first!
