WibTeX is super handy for anyone looking to manage their references easily. You know how you can find almost any info online with just a quick search? Well, most of that data lives in databases—like bookmarks or lists. WibTeX helps you import BibTeX databases, tweak them a bit, and then export them into different formats. It’s all about making your research life simpler!

Easy Access to Data

When you launch WibTeX, the first thing you'll see is a neat main window. There’s a side panel that gives you fast access to all your export options. Plus, the upper toolbar has more functions and load options waiting for you! Depending on what you're doing, there are extra menus and panels that pop up to help you along.

File Support Made Simple

This app is pretty flexible with file types. You can load BIB files (those are your BibTeX databases), plain TXT files, and even WTX files—the ones WibTeX creates as project files. Just remember: when opening files, use the built-in browse dialogs because dragging them directly into the main window won’t work.

User-Friendly Editing Options

Once you've loaded a database, you have two ways to view it: either through a simple list viewer for an easy overview or directly in the editor where you can manage all fields. If you're already familiar with your data and don’t need much editing, feel free to jump straight into exporting! You can send files out as HTML, Word references, BibTeX files, RTFs, XLSs, or even CSVs.

Customizable List Views

The list view shows everything stored in your database in a structured way—like a table! You can print this out or export it to any of those supported file types we talked about earlier. Want more control? The upper toolbar lets you pick which columns to show or export—think key details like author names, titles, URLs—you name it!

Edit with Ease

Editing in WibTeX is straightforward thanks to its intuitive window design. First up, choose your document type—whether it's an article or even a Ph.D. thesis—and then fill out the specific fields related to that type. Each document type comes with its own set of fields so you can add all sorts of info.

Your Go-To Reference Manager

All things considered, WibTeX is an awesome tool for managing tons of references from BibTeX databases. It lets you sort through them easily while editing and exporting as needed.
