What is Wifimap FOR LINUX?

Wifimap

Wifimap is a cool application that helps you document the layout of your wireless network. It’s super handy for anyone who wants to keep track of how their Wi-Fi setup looks!

What is Wifimap?

This web-based tool gives you a graphical way to see and manage your wireless network community. Imagine it like a map made up of little square cells, which fit together to show the area you want to cover.

How Does It Work?

You can start with just a few cells to cover your space. As you explore, you can scroll through these cells to access different parts of the network. It’s really simple!

Adding New Cells

If you need more coverage, adding new cells is a breeze with the built-in editor. You can even adjust the zoom level so you can look at things up close or from far away.

Performance and Ease of Use

The design is efficient, meaning it runs smoothly even on low-powered servers. Plus, if you want to add or edit wireless nodes, it only takes a few clicks!

Automatic Links and Color Coding

The links between nodes are drawn automatically based on what you've entered for each node. To make things clearer, different colors show different wireless protocols.

What's New in This Release?

  • A bunch of small bug fixes.

  • The map now stays in the same position when switching modes.

  • The set origin feature works correctly again.

  • No more default space value for many forms!

  • If there aren’t any cells at a new zoom level, the zoom button will be disabled.

  • Planned links are now semi-transparent for better visibility.
