Users who are running Oculus with their Windows 11 computer might have noticed that they tend to get a lot of lag. The main issue for this stems from the fact that Windows 11 packs a specific optimization whose purpose is to limit the programs running in the background to 30 FPS. Simply put, since the Oculus Server basically runs in the background is limited to the above restriction and hence, the lag.
As the name suggests, Win11OculusFix is not an application per se, but rather a DLL injector aimed to address this irritating issue. More precisely, the app injects into the Oculus Server process to make it a foreground process and therefore, bypass the FPS limit.
Using the tool is straightforward, as you should be able to view a message box featuring the Oculus logo in the taskbar after launching the executable. The new window should be unminized and brought to foreground before launching Oculus.
Considering that the utility entails injecting, some users may be wary about the tool, especially since some antivirus solutions can detect it as malicious. One solution to prevent the lag without using third-party tools is to enable the debug console and make Oculus a foreground process. However, bear in mind that this does not work if the console host is set to Windows Terminal instead of the legacy conhost.
