Window Widiget

Staying in touch with weather conditions can sometimes go beyond just opening your TV and waiting for the news to start. The endless resources available on the Internet make informing about weather conditions a far easier task, but what if you wish to go one step further, and have such information readily available, at a glance, on your desktop? This is exactly what Window Widget will do, by providing you with a simple widget that will display the weather conditions, such as temperature, and could cover, the United Kingdom and several of its cities.

As expected, the widget features a simple and concise deployment, and you will be able to use it in no time. All that’s required in terms of configuration steps, is selecting the preferred country (currently, only UK is supported, but more on that in the next section), as well as a city.

Having performed the aforementioned selection, you will be able to instantly preview the weather conditions on a dedicated window, which, unfortunately, isn’t resizable, nor is it movable across your desktop area.

As stated above, returning to the actual selection for the country and corresponding cities, given its scope and intended purpose, it would have been beneficial to be able to see a wider selection for both countries and cities.

Yes, this is just a beta release, and I hope that in future versions of the application, a much wider choice for both countries and cities will be provided.

Featuring a really basic design and functioning, this widget will allow you to preview the weather conditions for the UK and several of its cities, and hopefully, in the nearby future, other countries as well.
