Windows 7 Taskbar Iconizer is a plain and simple application whose purpose is to make the taskbar look like the one in Windows 7, as the name implies. It is designed for Windows Vista and XP.

Installation is not a requirement, which makes the app portable. It means that you can save the executable file to any part of the hard disk and just click it to run. There is also the possibility to save it to a USB flash drive to be able to run it on any PC with minimum effort and no previous installers.

What's more, it does not alter the Windows registry settings, nor create extra files on the computer, thus leaving no traces behind after its removal.

The interface is based on a single window with a straightforward look, where you can click a button to make the taskbar look like you're using Windows 7.

It is necessary to log off and log back in again to apply the new modifications. These can be later restored to default. There are no other notable options available here.

We have not come across any unpleasant surprises in our testing because the app did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It has a good response time and minimal impact on computer performance, thanks to the fact that it needs a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly.
