While some programs allow you to convert your files to PDF, others don’t have this function. WinPDF is a light tool that can compensate for this issue.

The software installs as a virtual printer named “Easy PDF Creator”. In this way, you don’t even have to bother with figuring out a complicated interface.

All you need to do is “print” the file you want to convert to PDF, regardless if it’s a text format or an image.

By doing this, you can also access the normal printing options, just like with any other similar task. Thus, you can scale the file to fit the page, select a page size, choose an orientation (landscape or portrait), set margins and define a picture quality.

The app requires one last input from your part: naming the file. You can save the PDF to any directory you want by simply browsing your computer, if the default folder wasn’t to your liking.

The resulting files support live hyperlinks, embedded images, math formulas, tables and any type of symbols. You can encrypt the files and add password protection.

Another useful feature of this small utility is the ability to convert multiple files at once by selecting a bunch of files and printing them at once. However, you still need to name each file individually and press “Save”.

WinPDF is a useful tool with an extremely low impact on your computer’s CPU resources. The app is easy to use thanks to the lack of interface.
