WinPT

WinPT stands for 'Windows Privacy Tools', a suite of programs that is based on GnuPG's encryption engine, allowing email encryption and content digital signing.

Relying on the OpenPGP protocol, WinPT can be used for generating security key pairs with RSA-RSA, DSA-RSA or DSA-ELG ciphering algorithm and provide the user with a private key for message signing, as well as a public key for sharing with the interlocutor. Alternatively, it can import GnuPG keyrings from another location.

Thanks to the comprehensive key generation wizard, creating a key pair is very easy. Your only task is to enter your name and type in the e-mail address you want WinPT to associate it with. Once a key is created, WinPT is minimized to the system tray, enabling you to control its behavior using the context menu.

The 'Key Manager' is the place where the application safely stores all your signatures, along with the issuer's ID, the key type and validity information. In case a key is compromised, superseded or simply no longer used, you can revoke it with just a few clicks. Also, WinPT allows key importing and exporting, as well as key validity verification.

You can use the 'File Manager' application in order to sign and encrypt files using one of the generated keys. For your convenience, WinPT can modify the last clipboard entry using a dedicated editor, enabling you to encrypt, sign or decrypt it from the right-click tray menu. The same goes for the text content of any opened window, such as a text processing application.
