Winspector

Winspector is a simple but super handy application that gives you a clear view of all the processes running on your computer and the messages flying around in the system.

User-Friendly Interface

The program has an easy-to-use interface split into different sections. One of these sections shows a full list of all the windows and processes. If you hover over any window, Winspector automatically shows detailed info about it, like its class name, HEX code, and HTML format.

Explore Window Properties

If you want to dig deeper into a window's details, just check out its Properties. Here, you can see everything from the class name to its text and style, along with which process it belongs to.

Accessing Options with Context Menu

You can also check out the options for any window or process by using the context menu. Want to see what messages a window has? A separate section pops up showing all those messages! You can see how long each message is, filter through them, copy or hide certain message categories, and even search online for more info about specific messages.

Automatic Process Display

Winspector automatically tracks every process that starts on your system. For instance, if you open a new Explorer window, all related messages pop up as 'created' on Winspector’s main screen. When you close a window, its status changes to 'destroyed'. You can set it to refresh automatically or do it manually whenever you need!

Supervise Window Classes

You have the option to keep an eye on specific window classes and quickly search for processes based on their class too. Plus, if you're trying to spot something quickly, you can highlight specific windows!

Quick View Feature

A cool feature is being able to quickly view both the process and window by selecting one open window with the 'target' tool. This will highlight that particular window in your list right away.
