Wireless Assistant is a handy little application that helps you scan for wireless networks and connect to them easily. If you're looking for a way to manage your Wi-Fi connections, this might just be what you need!
Getting Started with Wireless Assistant
To run Wireless Assistant, you'll need to have wired-tools installed on your system as it's the backbone of the app. Don’t worry, it’s pretty easy to set up! Just follow these simple commands in your terminal:
make -f Makefile.cvs
./configure
make
su -c "make install"

- NEW: We finally added wpa-psk support. This means WPA/WPA2 connections are now supported—test it out and give us your thoughts!
- NEW/FIX: A complete overhaul of connection state detection.
- NEW: You can now group access points (APs) that share the same ESSID.
- FIX: User interface has been refined for better usability.
- FIX: Encryption keys will now be hidden in console outputs and edit dialogs.
- FIX: Resolved issues where connections using dhclient would fail.
- FIX: The wizard won't check for connections while running anymore.
- FIX: Default gateway will be removed upon disconnection if it's not managed by the DHCP client.
- FIX: The Polish translation has been updated thanks to riklaunim's help!
- MANY FIXES: The app has seen numerous internal changes making it more stable overall.
