Wireless Workbench enables you to manage every facet of your Shure components that are part of your wireless LAN and monitor their performance over the network.
After a quick installation, you might need to spend some time configuring the network, as the utility requires an Ethernet connection to communicate with the components. In case the IP address mode fails to detect all devices, then you can assign IP addresses to each component. On a side note, you should make sure that all connected devices have an identical subnet mask.
The program comes with an appealing and intuitive interface that is well-organized and easy to navigate. The UI is comprised of the main window featuring three tabs that are representative for their primary function, namely Inventory, Frequency Coordination and Monitor
As you might have hinted by now, the Monitor tab enables you to keep track of the activity and settings of the devices connected to the network. It lets you preview and manage a subset of parameters for a channel or multiple channels at the same time, depending on the connected gadget.
It is important to note that the utility enables you to add extra channel strips so that you can keep track of the metrics and parameters that might be indicators of a potential flaw or failure. Moreover, in case you need to monitor the performance of multiple groups in an event, then you can create separate views and define the parameters you are interested in from the Frequency Coordination tab.
If you have set up a wireless network using Shure devices and you would like to make sure that all devices are running at peak performance, then Wireless Workbench might be the tool to try out.
