Word Avalanche is a refreshing word game where you must spell out random words as quick as you can. The story is quite interesting: you are blocked by a bunch of boulders that are each assigned to a letter. In order to escape, you must click on a boulder and form English words.

When a word is created, the boulders you have used will tumble down. With each successfully spelled word, your way out seems more and more possible. You can interact with 2 types of boulders, namely normal and molten. The latter have a much broader impact over the ones around it and earn you higher points.

After using a molten boulder, it will explode and cause boulders around it to explode as well. The environment is 3D and physically realistic. Thus, the boulders and explosions seem affected by gravity. A wise tactic would be to use gravity to your advantage.

Other game features include high-score tracking, time tracking and pausing the game at any time. The initial screen enables you to start a new game / continue playing, access the options, view the high scores or access the tutorial. As for the game HUD goes, it displays your scores and time elapsed.
