The application gives you the possibility to organize the structure of your book in a clever manner. Taking it for a spin makes a good first impression, with a professional feel about it. Content is managed through objects, that are primary and secondary.

Enabling a tree view grants you quick access to all elements you create. Ranging from, but not limited to, chapters and parts, to scenes and characters the application lets you take your time in development and organize ideas so you easily combine them in the end.

One of the biggest disappointments of the application is the overall design. Spending some time to get to know it reveals its rich features that tend to overwhelm you rather than offering a helping hand.

More space seems to be occupied by tabs and view types, rather than letting you focus on the core activity of creating a book, which is writing. There are limitations here, because you can only add around 33.000 characters to each content, making you split the book into one too many chapters and parts.

To sum it up, X-StoryBook wants to deliver a friendly environment in which to easily create pieces of fiction. However, the poor design tends to be difficult to work with, features focusing more on organizing rather than writing down ideas and text.
