What Does Nikto Do?

Nikto is a simple web server scanner that tests for risky files, outdated software, and other issues. It does both general checks and server-specific ones. Plus, it captures and shows all the cookies it receives.

Why Use Yang?

With Yang, you can run thorough tests on your web server. It checks more than 6400 potentially dangerous files/CGIs, looks for version-specific problems on over 270 servers, and even checks versions on more than 1200 servers. That's pretty impressive!

User-Friendly Interface

The interface of Yang is simple and easy to use. You can quickly run diagnostics on HTTP and SSL elements to find any issues in your server components. It helps spot leaked scripts, outdated software, dangerous files, and other problems.

How to Use Yang

To get started with Yang, just type in the web address of the page you want to analyze from the main window. You can also see the addresses of hosts you've tested before! If you want to change the default port, just go to the Hosts tab. Need to check logs? Head over to the Logs tab! You can even export results from NSE or Tools via the File menu.

Your Go-To Tools Tab

The Tools tab lets you update your database, list all plugins available, check out Nikto versions, and perform a DBcheck easily. Also, if you're into customizing things like SLL settings or using a proxy, you can toggle those options in the Preferences tab.

For Experienced Users

If you're an experienced user looking for more control, check out the Expert panel where you can tweak Yang according to your needs.
