Yellow Fins FOR MAC

Yellow Fins is a faithful reproduction for the Mac OS X platform of the popular iOS game “Tiny Wings”. The goal is to help a tiny wingless fish (or maybe bird) hero escape the snowstorm behind him by flying over hills.

The gameplay is very simple, but hard to master. The cute creature gains speed when you click-hold the game interface and accelerates even more when you click on a hill while the hero descends the previous hill.

The faster your hero moves, the better. Moreover, you can also collect bonus points throughout the levels and improve your high score. Thus, you can aim to collect all bonuses while flying fast to escape the snowstorm. This can be achieved by skillfully speeding up and slowing down at the right moment.

Yellow Fins features 16 different levels, beautiful animated graphics and music plus sound effects that match the graphics. The heads-up display includes the current score, level, points collected, last flown distance and airtime.

If you fail to complete levels in time, you will get caught by the terrible snowstorm behind you. Moreover, you can keep track of how close the storm is to you using the indicator at the top of the game’s interface. When the cloud touches your hero, the game will be over.

Taking everything into consideration, Yellow Fins is an entertaining and addictive game with simple rules. However, controlling the yellow hero is not as easy as it sounds. It takes a while to get good at it and, once you do, you might have a hard time quitting the game.
